Established in 1957.

Bruce Blackman established Blackman Ltd. to service the marine industry in and around Newport bay, specializing early in sales and service of marine chronometers, high grade watches like Rolex, Patek Philippe, compasses, barometers, sextants and other marine instruments.  He quickly developed a reputation for expert repairs and service.

By 1959 he had grown the business, moved into a state of the art salon and branched out into the sale of precious French and Italian jewelry, Danish and Swedish modern silver and gift-ware, and French and Scandinavian crystal.  In 1973, he brought a 1880's vintage mighty street clock out of retirement from a Seattle junk yard restoring it to become a local landmark for Lido Village.  That clock now rests at the corner of Via Lido and Via Oporto marking the gateway to Lido Shopping.

In 2014 his son David moved the business forward into a fabulous new location where they continue to be the favored jeweler of Newport Beach's bay-front community.
